Home made dipole bender
Bob Tait (VK3XP) made this dipole bender in his home workshop. He described it as follows.
“We have made a simple bender for making driven elements (folded Dipole) the round sections are from Zenith brand pulley blocks 62mm size from Bunnings. We sawed one in half to hold the element whilst forming the other end this stops creep. No kinks or distortion in the bend. We have had a lot of fun making driven elements. We might make a small mod that makes the far end adjustable, this will also allow for easy removal of the element.”
The arm is from Masters and is a wardrobe rail in the DIY section.
